This week is all about Day of Silence, which is this Friday. 

Sometimes I catch myself thinking that Day of Silence is a little silly, but the power it has to raise awareness to people outside the LGBTQ community. The only time I participated in Day of Silence was actually before I ever identified or thought about identifying as anything other than straight.
